Death Cleanup, LLC takes the privacy of grieving families seriously. This policy describes what we collect, why, and how we protect it.

What we collect
Contact information you give us when you call, fill out a form, or email — name, phone, email, address, ZIP.
Service-related information required to perform the work — property address, insurance carrier, scene details you choose to share.
Technical data — IP address, browser type, pages visited (anonymized in aggregate, used only to improve the site).
Photos and reports from on-site work are sealed to the customer file. They are not used for marketing, training, or any external purpose.
How we use it
To dispatch a technician and complete the work you have requested.
To communicate with your insurance carrier on your behalf, only with your written authorization.
To send you required follow-up communication (estimate, certificate of decontamination, invoice, payment receipt).
We do not use your information for marketing emails. We do not sell or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Who we share it with
Your insurance carrier or victim-compensation board, only with your authorization.
Coordinating responders (funeral home, law enforcement, medical examiner, property manager), only as required to complete the work.
Our regulated medical waste disposal partner, who receives only the manifest data required by DOT HM-181.
Government regulators if compelled by law (subpoena, court order, statutory disclosure requirement).
Your rights
You may request a copy of your file at any time.
You may request correction or deletion of your contact information after the work is completed and billed (file retention is required by some carriers and regulators).
California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas and other state residents have additional rights under their respective privacy statutes (CCPA, CDPA, etc.). Email us to exercise any of those.
EU residents have rights under GDPR. We do not currently dispatch service to the EU.
How long we keep data
Customer files are retained for seven years after the work completes (consistent with most state record-retention requirements for trauma-scene work, insurance billing, and tax records).
Technical data is retained for thirteen months in aggregate, anonymized form for site improvement.
Marketing-list data: we don't have one.
How we protect it
Encryption in transit (TLS 1.3) for all web forms and email.
Encryption at rest for customer files.
Access on a need-to-know basis; technicians see only the file for the call they are working.
